Wuhan Driver (Short Film - Costume Designer)

Wuhan Driver offers a subtle yet unflinching glance at a night in the life of a Chinese man driving Uber in New York at the start of the COVID-19 crisis. Our protagonist, Zhang, is all by himself but still powers through: he has no other choice. He crisscrosses the barren landscape of a city in lockdown, picking up various passengers, coming into contact with paranoia and prejudice, entangled in life during this era of anxiety. This film aims to shed light on this reality in order to better understand the hardships that essential workers go through during the pandemic. Through this, we can have more compassion for those different from ourselves. Director/Screenwriter : Tiger Ji.
